Before working at GetMed Staffing, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had? 

I lived on a Nebraska Cattle Ranch for many years as well as being the Director of Patient Accounts at the local hospital. Supporting the Ranching lifestyle made for some interesting stories. It was common, during calving season, to have baby calves in our bathtub or basement. Drying them off with towels and keeping them warm was crucial to their survival. The weather always made for new challenges and seeing the spring babies refreshed your spirit. 

How do you balance your career at GetMed Staffing and your family? 

Steve, my husband, is also a Director and CFO of GetMed. This makes for an interesting balance at home. We have a lot of conversations regarding GetMed and try to make it fun. We are “empty nesters” and lucky enough to still have our parents around. We focus on spending time with them and our combined four children and grandchildren. Our family is growing, so keeping up with them is a challenge and brings our hearts great joy. On a side note, teenagers are much easier to keep track of than elderly parents. 

What do you like most about GetMed Staffing? 

This is easy it’s our team. Linda and Trevor, the other owners, are great people. They are “real” and well-grounded in family and principle. Linda has over 15 years of industry experience. She is our rock and deals with the day to day ups and downs of a staffing business. She has a quick wit and smart sense of humor. Trevor is a banker and entrepreneur. He brings an outside view of the industry and economic trending. Steve our Director and CFO owns multiple businesses and is always encouraging growth. We discuss challenges and work through them to come up with solutions for GetMed’s success. 

Our front-line staff are the best in the industry and have a ton of personality. Kristi, our Director of Nurse Recruiting is a seasoned professional and approaches work with a great attitude and wonderful sense of humor. They bring their authentic selves every day creating a bond of trust with our travelers. The travelers and clients are key to this business. Our team provides them with Integrity, Excellence and Quality. We love our travelers!

I have gained personal and professional growth along with lifelong friendships. It’s so fun to watch a healthy team interact and work towards goals. This business is like a roller coaster ride, so many highs and lows. Getting through every day with a team you can depend on makes it fun. We work hard to overcome the hurdles and love celebrating our success. 

What do you do when you’re not working? (Hobbies, etc) 

• Traveling to spend time with family and friends.

• Riding my Peloton 
• Fly Fishing 
• Reading 
• Binging a series during the winter months 

What is an interesting fact that most people wouldn’t know about you? 

I was bitten by a bat and had to have rabies shots.
